David Hunter has more than 25 years experience in property fund management. As an international property consultant, he supports the creation and operation of property funds and companies, and is Chairman of ICG-Longbow, an investment manager focused on the UK commercial property debt markets. David was formerly Managing Director of Aberdeen Asset Management’s £6.5bn UK and international property fund business.
In 2004, David was President of the British Property Federation and was actively involved in the introduction of REITs to the UK. He was also inaugural Chairman of the Scottish Property Federation and is currently Chairman of South African Property Opportunities Plc, and director of Yatra Capital. David is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Angus has been involved in UK & European real estate for more than 20 years, having managed four ‘core-plus/value-add’ funds targeting total returns of 12-14% pa. He has been responsible for the acquisition and management of over £1bn of direct real estate assets.
Following an MA at Newcastle University in European Property, Angus joined SEGRO to co-ordinate its Continental European investment and development activities. After joining Rockspring in 1998 with responsibility for Northern European acquisitions, he then became European Director and Fund Manager of TransEuropean I, II & III (UK & Europe). During this period, Angus worked with the IO Group on multi-let industrial schemes in France and the UK.
In 2006, Angus joined the Fund Management arm of Knight Frank and was responsible for the real estate activities of its listed real estate vehicle. Angus is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
James is Head of Asset Management and is also involved in the sourcing and selection of suitable investment opportunities.
Drawing on over 20 years’ experience in the UK real estate industry, James began his career at Frogmore, asset managing a mixed use portfolio and specialising in the industrial and office sectors.
He joined IO in 2001, with a brief to acquire and manage industrial property for UK-based funds. In 2006 he became a director of IO, and as specialist asset manager to The Industrial Trust, and fund manager to The Industrial Investment Partnership, he was responsible for in excess of £500m of assets under management. James is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Oliver joined IO in early 2014 with a mandate to source new investments and manage UK acquisitions.
In 2010, he joined King Sturge (later JLL), undertaking acquisitions and disposals, and providing strategic advice and transaction management services to corporate occupiers across their UK and European portfolios. His later focus was on providing valuation advice to banks, institutions and property companies, primarily within the South East Office and National Industrial sectors.
Oliver holds an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Matt joined the IO team in June 2015, having previously worked for GVA within their Restructuring and Recovery team in Leeds. During his time there he focused on LPA Receivership work, as well as consensual sales and pre-appointment valuation consultancy work for both banks and borrowers.
His primary responsibility at IO is implementing asset management strategies across existing portfolios.
Matt holds a first class honours degree in Estate Management from Northumbria University and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
